It is endemic to Oahu and possibly Kauai. The larvae feed on ''Melicope'' species, including ''Melicope elliptica'', ''Melicope clusiaefolia'' and ''Melicope sapotaefolia''. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine starts along the margin of the leaf.
